Nada G (now Nada Ghazal Fine Jewelry) donate ‘Summer Fayrouz’ to be auctioned for proceeds to help build a school for 500+ children in the village of Mandalay, Myanmar.
Beirut, October 8, 2012: JCK’s Rising Star Award-Winner Nada G (now Nada Ghazal Fine Jewelry) has announced its sponsorship of Beirut to Mandalay Events 2012 (Gulf for Good) organized by Mira and Samar Hawa, two Lebanese goodwill ambassadors embarking on a humanitarian adventure to assist deprived children to their right to education. Nada Ghazal Fine Jewelry will be donating ‘Summer Fayrouz’ ring, one of its earliest exclusive jewelry pieces, and part of the ‘Show Piece Selection’ designed and hand-crafted by Jewelry designer Nada Ghazal, to be auctioned at the event whose proceeds will go to help build a school for 500+ children in the village of Mandalay, Myanmar.
Nada Ghazal, Designer, Founder and Managing Partner of the high-end jewelry brand Nada G, has been supporting charity causes since it opened its first boutique in late 2004. In addition to its commitment towards operating with utmost ethics, Nada G is perpetrated in its studied drive towards creating positive social, environmental and economic impact.
In July 2011, Nada G designed and donated a bespoke “Think Pink Rose” necklace and earrings – 18K yellow gold with pink sapphire worth USD7000 to help cancer victims. In December 2011 and under its “Go Green” initiative, a cedar tree was planted for every gift purchased from Nada G during the month of December.
Upon confirming the participation, Nada Ghazal said “Nada G is not only committed towards delivering timeless fine 18k jewelry pieces with an edge, but also has a corporate social responsibility towards the benefit of the under privileged. The 18k gold and turquoise ring called “Summer Fayrouz” which will be auctioned at the event, is one of the first items I designed and I am quite emotionally attached to it, as I personally hand crafted it and is part of the ‘Show Piece Selection’”. She adds, “I design jewelry to awaken emotions in those who wear them. There is no greater joy than knowing that the proceeds from this item, that will be auctioned at the ‘Live 70’s and 80’s Party Auction’ will awaken emotions in many more who are in desperate need”.
“Beirut to Mandalay Event 2012” will take place in Art Lounge on Saturday October 13, 2012 and will feature a 70’s - 80’s themed party and Movie Screening. The event will raise funds to build a school for Burmese children living in an extremely poor area in Mandalay as part of its motto “Giving Kids A Chance Around The World.”
Tickets for the event which features key sponsors such as DJ Said Mrad, Art Lounge, 961 Beer, Sarah’s Bag, Nada Debs, Edde Sands, Shisedo Day Spa and with many more, are sold at USD45.
