HIS KHAIZARAN is a reinterpretation of Nada Ghazal Fine Jewelry’s Khaizaran collection—a tribute to the craft and design of chair caning—originally created for women, now thoughtfully molded and shaped for the modern man.
Khaizaran cane chairs were a constant presence in Nada Ghazal’s childhood. She fondly recalls the ritual of washing the chairs thoroughly before Eid, and how her mother, grandmother, and aunts would shape delicate rings from biscuit dough. Before baking, they would hand them to the children, who would dip them in sesame and gently press them onto the surface of the Khaizaran chairs, imprinting their intricate pattern into the dough. When the biscuits emerged from the oven, lightly golden, Nada and her siblings would pretend they were bracelets.
His Khaizaran is crafted in 18K brushed gold and includes rings, cuffs, and cufflinks.
